HENRY A. THIESSEN

Henry A. Thiessen was born on November 23 , 1891 to Henry and Mary Thiessen in Fuerstenland, southern Russia. They emigrated to Canada in 1903, settling near Winkler, Man. In 1910 they moved to a homestead near Herbert, Sask. He accepted the Lord as his Saviour in his late teen years . Mr_ Thiessen married Helen Andres in 1917 . They were blessed with seven sons and three daughters . Two sons predeceased him , and in 1958 his first wife passed on to be with the Lord. After nearly six years alone, he married (Mrs.) Tina Braun (nee Schellenberg) , with whom he shared four years of blessing. In the spring of 1968 he was alone again. Moving to Clearbrook, B_C. he met and married Anna Rempel. A desire to express his testimony to God's grace with the whole family was realized at a family reunion in Clearbrook in August, 1974. On April 9, after some months of illness, the Lord called him home. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Anna; seven sons, Henry , Abe, John, Frank, Bill, Art and Herb; and three daughters, Sally, Anne and Laura.
