(MRS.) AGANETHA ALLERT

(Mrs.) Aganetha Allert was born August 27, 1896 to Peter and Maria (nee Quapp) Janzen at Gnadenheirn, South Russia, and passed away into the presence of her Lord on February 15. She accepted Christ aa her personal Saviour at the age of 18. On August 20, 1924 she married Cornelius Allert, and the couple lived in Friedensruh, South Russia for five years before emigrating to Canada in 1930. They settled in the Peace River, Alta., area where they enjoyed the fellowship of Christian friends for many years. The Lord blessed them with ten children. The family moved to Yarrow, B.C. in 1945, and, after her husband predeceased her in 1957, Mrs. Allert joined her children in Vancouver. She was predeceased by three children in infancy and her eldest daughter, Agnes, in 1974. The family thanks God for a mother who loved the Lord and prayed for them. Her eight grandchildren were a source of much happiness for her. At a funeral service held February 19 in the Culloden Mennonite Brethren Church, Vancouver, pastor B. Baier and Rev. D. B. Wiens officiated. She leaves to mourn three sons and their wives, Neil and Shirley, Helmut and LiI, and John and Linda; three daughters, Katherine, Hilda, and Lillian; eight grandchildren; two sisters in Russia; one sister-in-law; and many relatives and friends.
