Kansas Farmer Dies of Accident Injuries

E. P. WEDEL OF GALVA FATALLY HURT WHEN TRUCKS COLLIDE

McPherson, Kan. — Eben P. Wedel, 64-year-old farmer of the Galva community, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday morning, July 13 at the Salem Hospital in Hillsboro of injuries received in a pick-up truck collision on June 27.

Mr. Wedel was driving one of the trucks when it collided with a truck driven by Wesley Duerksen norhwest of Lehigh. Duerksen and two sons were injured but have recovered.

Born July 28, 1895 in McPherson County, Mr.Wedel leaves his wife, Julia; two daughters, Mrs. Elgin Bartel of Hillsboro and Mrs. Chester Koehn of Moundridge; one son, Gerald Wedel of Newton; one brother and eight sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 14 in the Ball and son Chapel in McPherson, followed by services in the Emmanuel Mennonite Church at 10 a.m. Rev. Garman H. Wedel and Rev. P. A. Wedel will officiate.
