Lavina Amstutz, 90, 600 N. Verity Parkway, Middletown, died Monday evening in Middletown Hospital. She was born in Bluffton, a daughter of Christian B. and Katherine Lugibihi Amstutz. A member of the Trenton Mennonite Church, Mrs. Amstutz was an honorary member of the Miami Book Club of Trenton and was the first president of the Trenton School P.T.A. in 1905 she married the Rev. John E. Amstutz.

She leaves her husband, Rev. John E. Amstutz, one son, John H. Amstutz; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice A Dorsey, Huntington, West Virginia, and Mrs. Maurine A. Johnson, Mendocino, California; one sister, Mrs. Susanne Lugibihi, Finley; two grandsons. Burial in the Mennonite Cemetery.
