Retired Merchant Dies in Minnesota

Mountain Lake, Minn. — Funeral services were conducted at the Butterfield Mennonite Church on Aug. 29 for Gustav Miller, 79, pioneer merchant of the Butterfield community.

A native of Austria, Mr. Miller came to this country at the age of two. He founded the Miller Store in Butterfield in 1902. For the past four years he had been a guest at the Eventide home in Mountain Lake, and death came Aug. 26 shortly after he had been admitted to the Bethel Hospital.

Surviving are three sons, Harvey, Oliver and Wilfred, all of Butterfield, one brother and three sisters.
