HELEN WIENS

, to Sam and Marie Ratzlaff in the Linde Alta. area. It was here that she complete her schooling, and also accepted the Lor Jesus as her Saviour, was baptized upon he confession of faith, and became a member o the Mennonite Brethren Church. Upon completion of a business colleg program , she filled a secretarial position fo 10 years at Dominion Construction in Ca gary. A special friendship developed with he Aunt Helena Redekopp with whom she live in Calgary. In 1966 she married Nick Wiens wit whom she shared eight precious year Kathryn Mae , born to them in 1967 added special joy to their lives. Throughout the las ten years of her life, Helen's activities wer gradually curtailed due to a heart condition In spite of this , she enjoyed helping other often beyond her strength. Her quiet, shin ing Christlike life touched lives all over th community as well as in the congregation i Linden. An awareness of the limited time whic might be available to her helped Helen t place life's responsibilities in better perspec tive. She concentrated her efforts in provid ing support and inspiration to her husband and in giving love, time and understandin to her daughter. During the last seven months the Lor proved very precious to her. A particularl enriching experience was attendance at Bible Study Ashram Conference. The las words she spoke to her husband on th evening of June 17 were "I love you." Th following morning the Lord took her home at the age of 39.

predeceased by one sister , Lois. Left to mourn her passin are: her husband, Nick; her daughter, Kath ryn; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ratzlaf of Linden; one brother, Raymond and Dor othy Ratzlaff of Linden; four sisters: Emer son and Verda Sept of Three Hills, Alta Marie of Linden, Larry and Doris King o Nipawin, Sask., Ervin and Susan Harder o Linden; and many other relatives and friends.
