Pioneer Immigrant Died at Dodge City

Inman, Kans. — Funeral services were held at the Bethel Mennonite church Nov. 30 for John J. Pauls, 79, pioneer settler here who came from Russia with his parents in 1874. He passed away at a Dodge City convalescent home on Nov. 26.

He formerly served as deacon at the Bethel church here and also at Perryton, Texas, where the family lived from 1921 to 1935. Later he moved to Meade, Kans., and was a member of the E.M.B. church near Meade at the time of his death.

He is survived by two daughters and three sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, eight stepchildren, two brothers, Jacob J. and Henry J. Pauls of Inman, and a sister, Mrs. Helena Neufeld, of Inman.
