ELIZABETH HARDER

Eliabeth Harder was born in 1885 in Alexandertal, South Russia. From there her parents , Bernhard and Gertrude Penner, moved to the province of Charkow. At 19 years of age she accepted Christ as her Saviour and joined th e G:C Church . Her marriage to Peter Harder last ed for almost 40 years. In 1914 the family moved to the Crimea and in 1925 to Coaldale, Alta.; wh ere they joined th e MB Church .

Mr. Penner died in 1946, and Elizabeth remain ed a widow for 26 years, the last 20 years of which were full of illness and suffering . During th e final 7 years she was completely bedridden. In spi,te of her suffering , she prayed a great deal for her fa m ily. She died on January 20 at the age of 87 years .

She is survived by 5 sons, 3 daughters, 21 grandchil dren , nd 6 great-grandchildren. Funera l services were held in the Coal dale MB Church , with Rev. Henry Nikkel officiating.
