PETER H. KROEKER

Pe'ter H. Kroek er was born in Sagroadowka, Ru ssia, on August 31, 1899. Her·e he also re-c eived his schooling , On June 15, 1924 he w as baplt'ized and r'e-ce'ive,d into th e M I'iance Church. He wa s married to Ann,ie Bar'gen on Sep'temb er 24, 1924 and two years later they came to Canada w her e th ey spent t he'ir rirs't seven y ears at Gi,lroy, Sask. Here they jooined the Mennonite Brethren Church , In 1933 they moved to Glenbush, Sask. where they farm ed fo r thirty-two years. They ret ired in 1965 in th e hamlet of G'lenibus,h. Th e family is grateful to God for His many blessings and for H'is grace and nearness during Mr. Kro eker's frequ en't periods of illness. A'ithough another heart aottack hospital'ized him for fifteen days, he was able to spend the last seven'teen days a-t hom e. Thi s was an answer to prayer and the s!incere desire of his he'a'r>t. On September 17, 1972, he pass ed peacefully into the presence of the Lord . He leaves to mourn his wife, Annie; two sons, Pete and Jake, both of Medstea,d; four daughters, Helen (Mrs. Henry ) Braun of Chilliwack, B.C., Margaret (Mrs. Cornie) Friesen O'f G'lenbus'h, Betty ('Mrs. Walden) Warkentin o,f Denver, Colorado, and Mary (Mrs. Jim) Cameron as Saskatoon; 21 grandchi'ldren; a brotther, Jacob o'f Grand Prairie, A'lberta and a s'is'ter, Nettie o'f Ru'ss'ia. Funeral serviceces were he-Id in the Glenbush Mennonite Brethren Church on September 20, witih Rev. Abe Pau'ls and Mr. Ger'hard Bargen ministering.
