MRS. JOHN R. WIEBE

Sarah W'iebe was th e ninth of 13 children of Heinrich and Elizabeth Rempe'l of Pluoff, o·f the Ukmine, and was born on September 24, 1897. In 1902 the family emigrated to Canada, arriving at Morden, Manitoba in December. The followi'ng year they settlc,d on a farm near Burwalde. As a child Sarah attended sohonl at Zion and Burwalde ,together wi,th her brothers and sisters. In 1918 she moved with her parents to W'inkler where she worked as a clerk fOT the Kroeker Brothers until her marri'age. At an early age she had come to realize her need for a persona'i relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Baptism upon he'r confession of fa'ith and accep1ance 'into the Winkler Mennonite Bre'thren Church followed at the age of 14. She was united in marriage 10 John R, W 'iebe on March 29, 1923. They settled on a farm, four mi'les north of Morden, where they lived for 37 ye'ars. They had one daughter, D'orothy. After her husband's he,alth began to ,fail. they retired and moved to Morde'n. Four years IMer, in 1964, her husband went to be with the Lord, and on September 28, 1971, she f.ollowed h,vm. She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers and nine sisters. Left to mourn her loss are ,her daughter, Dorothy, and husband Edmond Dyck, andgrandchHdren, Judith and John, and a host o,f friends and relatives.
