ABRAM JACOB DICK
seven children, wa's born in Russia on August 31, 1893. He accel)ted the Lord as his Saviour at an early age and was baptized into the fellowshi'l) of the Mennonite Brethren Church in 1910. On July 1, 1918, he married Tina Stobbe. They emigrated to Canada in 1924 and settled near Glenbush, Saskatchewan . The church there orda,ined him to the ministry in 1939, and for 26 years he served the congregatio·ns in Glenbush and Saskatoon . After moving to Saskatoan in 1943 he continued his active lay ministry, serving faithfully at the TB Sanitorium. He was a man of pract,ical faith and lived an exemplary, dedicated Christian life. He passed away quietly in his s·leep on October 16, after a ,lengthy illness, having reached the age of 78. Surviving him are his wife, Tina, and four children: Abe of Sa,skatoon, Mrs . Pete (Adelina) Klippenstein, Meadow Lake, Sask., Jacob of Saskatoon, Mrs. Dennis (Eleanor) Kieth, Kindersley; seventeen grandchi,ldren; ·five sisters: Mrs. Pete Warkentin, Mrs. Isaac Boldt, Mrs. Abram Reimer, Mrs. Corny Hinz and Mrs. George Warkentin. He was pred eceased by a sister, Mrs. Barney Hamm. 'Funeral services were held from the Centra,1 Mennonite Brethren Church, Saskawon, on October 18.
