CORNELIUS PAULS

,Cornelius P,auls was born on October 9, 1919, in Burwalde, South Russia, to Aaron and Maria Pauls. At the a,ge 'Of seven he immiqrated to Canada wi,th h'is parents, and~ a younger brother and sister. They reside,d in Manitoba until 1937. The family then move,d to Ontario and made their permanent home there. Cornelius had several exoeriences with the 'Lord, but it was not until 1948 that he real'ly committed hisli'fe to Ohrist, was baptized, and became a member of the Port Rowan Church. He had many baHles in his Christian life, but he always found his way through to the source of strength, his ,Lord and Saviour. On October 10, 1942, he was uni,ted 'in holy matrimony ,to Anne Hiebert of Port Rowan, Onto The Lord blessed them with three daughters and one son . Cornelius became ill in January, 1969. The winter o'f 1970-71 provi,ded him with a good rest period and he looked forward to spring when he could begin farm work aqain. The Lord (lave him 'the necessar-y strength to do the work himself. But after corn seeding in May he suffered a severe heart atta'ck. During the last few days of his life in the hosp'ital he was cheerful, happy, and enjoyed his visitors . He passed away on June 21 at the age of 51. He is survived by his belove'd wife, Anne; three ,daughters, Mrs. Peter (Betty) Reimer of Port Rowan, Sharon of Tanzania, East Afri'ca and Bonnie, at home; one son, Waldo,alt home; his paren1:S, Mr. and Mrs. A'a.ron Pa'uls of Port Rowan; one brother; seven sisters; and ' four grandchildren.
