GWEN EPP

Gwen Epp, 24, passed away February 20, 1970, ,in the Hotel Dieu Hospital, St. Catharines, Ontario, after lengthy iHness. She had in fact been iH kom her birth. Gwen was born to Walter and Mary Epp at Vineland, Ontario on November 21, 1945. When she was eight years old she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. At the a'ge of 17,in 1963, she was baptized upon her confession of faith and received into the Grace Mennonite Church of St. Catharines. In 1966 she transferred her membership to ,the Fa,irview Mennonite Brethren Church where she sang in the choir whenever her streng,th permitted. Gwen loved people and was sensitive to their feelings. She sympathized with those who were sad or sick. In her own skkness she was courageous and unselfish and as soon as she felt weH enough, she would make herself use,fulin things her strength would a'ilow. Whh her smile, her courage and concern for others, especially in the League for the Handicapped, she was an inspiration to aiL The last time she was able to sing in public was at a Handicap League meeting where she and a blind girl sang, "It's no.t an easy road as we traveil along." She is survived by her parents, Walter and Mary Epp, 38 Leeper Street. St. Catharines; brothers Odin and wife Audrey of St. Catharines and Dale at home; a sister, Marlene (Mrs. Ed Toews). St. Catharines; grandparents and many friends and mlat1ive,s. The funeral was held from the Fairview Church on February 24 with Harvey Gossen and Henry Fransen minis,tering.
