ALICE H. REMPEL

Mrs. Alice Rempel (nee Neufeld) was born in Haolbstadt, south Russia on August 5, 1914. In 1924 she came to Ontario with her mother, Mrs. Susa Neufeld, and a sister and brother. They made their home in K-itchener. At the age of 12 she accepted the Lord Jesus Chris,t as ,her personal Saviour and four years later became a member of the Kitc-hener Mennonite Brethren Church. Later she Ibecame a charter member of the Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church. She was married to Peter Rempel ·on July 24, 1938, a union that was blessed with a son Arthur and a daughter Karen. In 1967 she moved to St. Catharines and became a member of t he Fairview -Chu~ch where she served in various capacities including Sunday school and the ladies auxiliary. On February 9, 1970, after a lengthy illness, she went to be with the Lord. She -is survived by her husband Peter; son Arthur of Waterloo; daughter Karen of St. Catharines; her mother, Mrs. Susa Neufeld, of Kitchener; a sister, Mrs. John (Areka) ·Gosen of Waterloo; and a brother, Arthur Neufeld, of Fonthill.
