HERMAN H. PETERS

Herman H. Peters was born November 25, 1896, to Herman and Helena Peters at Reinland, Man. In 1910, along with his parents and family, he moved to Rosthern, Sask. On December 26, 1915, he was united in marr·iage to Susanna Stobbe of Rosthern, a un-io';:' that was blessed with 11 children. During the summer of 1932 he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour, and he and his wife were baptized by Rev. R.J. Nixon on August 19, 1934. In 1944 he and his family movedo' Dalmeny, Sask., where he engaged in business. Shertly thereafter he joined the Mennenite Brethren Church at Dalmeny. He retained his membership at Dalmeny until his death. At varieus times he had resided in Star City, Laird, Langham and most recently in Saskatoon. He was predeceased by his wife on July 9, 1968. Mr. Peters suffered from diabetes since 1943 and as result eventually lost his sight and had to have both legs amputated. He passed away on Christmas Day, 1968. He attained the age ef 72 years. He leaves to' mourn five daughters and six sons: Helen ef Nigeria, Clarence of Whiterock, B.C., Elmer and Lawrence of Saskatoon, Art of Banff, Alta., Edna ofRegina, Irene (Mrs. Ben Rempel) ef Clearbroek, B.C., Rueben of Saskateon, Ruth (Mrs. Wilf Bellamy) of Saskatoen, Norma (Mrs. Aaron Pankratz) ef Langham,and Stanley ef Saskateon. Funeral services were held in the Mennenite Brethren Church at Dalmeny on December 28 with Rev. Sylvester Dirks in charge and Rev. H.S. Rempel and Rev. R.J. Nixon speaking.
