HENRY C. SCHMIDT

On May 8, Mr. Henry C. Schmidt of Brooks, Oregon passed away in Wald heim, Sask., after a brief illness. Fun era'! services were held in the Brotherfield Church near Waldheim with E. T. Schmidt and Corny Braun officiating. Mr. Schmidt was born near Wald heim, Saskatchewan on November 11, 1903. In 1919 he was baptized upon his confession of faith and received into the fellowship of the Krimmer MB Church. On March 25, 1925 he was married to Maria Van Niessen. Three ohildren were born to them. The family moved to B.C., and after 21 years there, Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt went to Oalifornia, where Mrs. Sohmidt passed away in 1962. In 1966 he moved to Salem, Oregon. Becoming ill here, he was vaken to Saskatchewan, where he spent his last year in the home of his children in Waldheim. He looked forward to meeting his Lord, and departed in perfect peace. He leaves to mourn, one son, Melvin of Saskatoon; two daughters: Jane (Mrs. Leonard Goossen) of Moundridge, Kansas, and Vivian (Mrs. Gordon Goossen) of Waldheim, and five grand chUdren.
