JACOB PETER LANGEMANN
Funeral services for the late Jacob Peter Langemann of Coaldale, Alberta were conducted in the Coaldale Church on March 27. Officiating at the service Rev. D. J. Pankratz chose to speak on Job's assertion: "I know that my Re deemer lives" and "I shall see God" (Job 19:25,26). Rev. Peter Ratzlaff, pastor of the Mennonite Conference Church of Coaldale, spoke on the Christian's hope from I Thess. 4:13-18, stressing, "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again ... (so) we which are alive . . . shall be caught up to gether with them to meet the Lord."
Jacob Peter Langemann was born in Gnadenheim, South Russia July 16, 1881. In 1902 he was baptized and re ceived into the Mennonite Conference Church. He married Justina Enns in 1911 and God blessed them wibh three sons and two daughters. Emigrating to Canada in 1925, the family took up residence in Broderick, Sask., and in 1927 moved to Coaldale. In 1931 he was predeceased by his wife. After a lengthy illness the Lord took him to his heavenly abode on March 22 at the age of 86 years.
Having tenderly cared for him, and
now left to mourn his passing are
daughters Martha and Mrs. Christina
Martens, sons Peter and Jake, two
daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, nine
grandchildren and four great-grandchil
dren.
