MRS. REINHARD QUIRING

Corn, Okla. — Word was received here Monday morning, April 30, of the death of Mrs. Reinhard Quiring, age 24, on Sunday evening, April 29, in a hospital at Sacramento, Calif. Death followed a long illness as result of cancer.

Mrs. Quiring was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Ratzlaff of Corn. She was mother of two children, a son of five and a daughter one year old. Funeral services were conducted at the Mennonite Brethren church of Chico, Calif., Thursday, May 3.

Mrs. Quiring has been practically a life-long resident of the Corn community. Relatives and friends here met for memorial services for Mrs. Quiring at the Bergthal church also on Thursday afternoon, May 3. The services were conducted by Rev. Henry Hege and Rev. Menno Kliewer of the Sichar church.

Mrs. Leona Quiring, daughter of P. R. and Margaret (Vogt) Ratzlaff, was born March 20, 1921, on the parental farm one mile south of Corn. Here she spent her youth, attending the Corn district school and the Corn Bible School, where she graduated in May, 1938. On March 25, 1935, she was baptized upon her confession of faith in her Lord, our Saviour Jesus Christ, by Rev. John Baergen, and became a member of the Berthal church, which she remained till her death. On October 2, 1938, she entered the holy state of matrimony with Rheinhard Quirng. This union was blessed with two children, one boy
