CLIFFORD A. MARTIN

Clifford A. Martin, 57, of Poland, Ohio, died of a heart attack on Feb. 15 at his home.

Born Nov. 6, 1917, in Columbiana, Ohio, the son fo Alfred and Barbara (Stouffer) Martin, he had lived at his present address for two years. Previously he lived in Downey, Calif. He had been employed by the O.M.C. Freight Lines of California as a truck driver until 1968, when he retired due to a heart attack. Prior to that, he had been employed by the Greyhound Bus Lines.

He was a member of the Ohio Genealogy Society and its Mahoning County Chapter, and attended the North Lima Mennonite Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Maxine Sommers, whom he married Aug. 21, 1938, two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Fyrne) Lantz of Downey, Calif. and Mrs. Peter (Twyla) Harder of Prince George, B. C.; a sister, Mrs. Daniel (Gladys) Conrad of Columbiana, and three grandsons. Two brothers, Paul and Dale, preceded him in death.]

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 19 in the North Lima Mennonite Church with Rev. Richard Bartholomew and Rev. David Steiner officiating.
