Well Known Treasurer of Bluffton College Called in Death
PROF. JESSE H. LOGANBILL HAD SERVED COLLEGE DURING PAST FIVE YEARS
Bluffton, Ohio, November 26. — Students and faculty members of Bluffton college were deeply grieved at the passing of Professor Jesse H. Loganbill early Friday morning, November 20, following a serious illness of four months. Professor Loganbill first became associated with the college in the fall of 1937, as assistant professor of psychology. Continuing in this capacity, he also took over the duties of business manager in the fall of 1938, and served in both capacities until his illness confined him to his apartment early in August this year.
Dr. Lloyd L. Ramseyer, President of Bluffton college, and Dr. J. S. Schultz, Dean of the college, assisted Rev. Jesse Smucker, pastor of the First Mennonite church in Bluffton, with final rites for Mr. Loganbill. The Vesper choir of the college, directed by Professor Russell A. Lantz, sang "Spirit of God," arranged by Harris, and the "Lord Bless You and Keep You," by Lutkin.
Born at Fortuna, Mo., on Oct. 21, 1889, Mr. Loganbill was the son of John P. and Anna Moser Loganbill. He had held many important educational positions previous to his taking up the position at Bluffton College.
He is survived by his wife, the former Eva E. Becker of Meno, Okla., and four children.
