● Funeral services were held Aug. 6 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel for Jacob Schmidt, 83, who died Aug. 4 at Bethesda Home, Goessel. A former farmhand, he had lived at the home since 1955. Survivors include a brother, Elmer W. Schmidt, and a sister, Mary Voth, both of Goessel. Burial was in the Alexanderwohl Church cemetery.
