Peter Siebert was born in Sparau, South Russia, on August 21, 1864. In the year 1876 he came to America with his parents and settled on a farm near Buhler, Kansas, where he spent his youth. He was converted in the year 1882 and was baptized on March 15, of that year by Elder Jacob Klassen and united with the Zoar church. He was united in marriage with Anna Klassen on August 23, 1887. Their wedded life was of a duration of 40 years and 2 months. To this union 9 children were born, of which one son and 3 daughters preceded him in death.

Mr. Siebert was very ill for six days and passed away on Oct. 26, at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 4 days.

He leave to mourn his departure his wife, 3 sons, and 2 daughters.

Funeral services were held at the Zoar Church Sunday, Oct. 30. Rev. John Esau officiated and was assisted by Rev. Peter Block and Rev. Klass Kroeker. Rev. John Rempel of Rush Lake, Sask., spoke at the cemetery. The remains were laid to rest in the Zoar cemetery.
