text of obituary:

Mrs. Isaac H. Harms.

Mrs. Maria Harms, nee Doerksen, was born near Inman, McPherson County, Kansas, on Nov. 27, 1878. Her parents, Martin and Maria Doerksen, gave her the Christian education that the schools of those days offered. Through Christian influence and the working of the divine Spirit she accepted Christ as her personal Savior in her youth and became a member of her home church. On Nov. 9, 1902, she was united to Mr. Isaac H. Harms in marriage. This union was blessed with 8 sons and 2 daughters, of these four sons died in infancy.

She died unexpectedly Sunday morning, July 31, 1927, at the home of her children, where she was nursing her sick daughter. She retired early because she felt tired. About midnight her son-in-law was awakened by a peculiar sound caused by her breathing. When he came to her aid he found her dying. Before her family and friends were able to come to her side she had passed away.

Her age was 48 years, 8 months, and 4 days. --Inman Review.
