Kenneth S. Latourette, professor emeritus of missions and oriental history at Yale Divinity School was born Aug. 9, 1884, in Oregon City, Ore., and died in a traffic accident in that same city on Dec. 26. A member of the Baptist Church and a missionary to China from 1910-12, he became a member of the Yale faculty in 1921 and has written extensively in the field of church history.
