Jacob J. Dick of Clearbrook. B.C. passed away on August 9. He was born in Licht- felde. Russia on April 19, 1904. In 1919 he moved to Alexanderkron where he married Anna Barg in June 1925. As a young man he accepted J e su s as his Saviour. He began evangelistic work in 1926, including in a con- centr a tion camp. In 1933 the family left Russia for India, where they began work in the Hyd e rabad area under MB Missions. He was ordained to the gospel ministry on May 15, 1940 in the Coaldale (Alta.) MB Church He served three missionary terms in India between 1933 and 1957, then served as chap- lain in the Vancouver Central City Mission for 10 years. In 1974 he returned to India for six weeks to minister to the church. In 1976 his wife Anna passed away. A year later he marri ed Mary Olfert Doerksen. He passed away two days before a planned visit to the Soviet Union. He is survived by his wife Mary; four daughters: Helga and husband Philip Good of Birch Bay.
