Lucile Enz
Retired Purchasing agent and Office Manager of Bethel Deaconess Hospital and lifelong resident Lucile M. Enz, 65, died Tuesday (July 17, 1984) at her home at 15 Moorlands in Newton.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 20, 1984 at the First Mennonite Church with the Rev. Floyd Bartel officiating. Family graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 1, 1918 in Newton.
Organizations to which she belonged are the Sunflower Chapter of the Hospital Financial Management Association, American Hospital Association, the Christine Chapter of Professional Secretaries International (formerly the National Secretaries Association), Soroptimist International Club of Newton, the BDH Junior Women's Auxiliary and the Bethel College Women's Association. Miss Enz was the recipient of several special honors in recognition of her services as well as being named the Woman of the Year and the Business and Professional Woman of the Year in 1980. She also was a member of the First Mennonite Church.
Miss Enz is survived by her sister, Marjorie Jantz of Prairie Village.

In Memory of Lucile Enz
Lucile Enz, recently retired business office manager and purchasing agent, died at her home in rural Newton on July 17 following a lengthy illness. She was 65. Memorial services were on July 20 at the First Mennonite Church and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Miss Enz was born Sept. 1, 1918, at BDH, the daughter of Paul and Margarethe Enz. She attended Newton schools and was a graduate of Bethel College. While a student she worked part time at BDH to assist with the organization and operation of the Family Hospitalization Plan, a forerunner of Kansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The day after graduation she began her full-time career at BDH which spanned almost 44 years. She officially retired on Dec. 31, 1983.
Her organizational membership included the Sunflower Chapter of the Hospital Financial Management Association, American Hospital Association, the Christine Chapter of Professional Secretaries International, Soroptimist International Club of Newton, BDH Junior Women's Auxiliary and the Bethel College Women's Association. Special recognitions and honors included awards from the HFMA ini 1970, 1973 and 1977, a Newton Woman of the Year and Business and Professional Woman of the Year in 1980.
A member of First Mennonite Church, Miss Enz was a member of the chancel choir and an assistant in the nursery department of the Sunday School for many years. She also used her professional accounting and secretarial skills in serving on a variety of church-related committees.
Survivors include a sister and her husband, Marjorie and Willard Jantz, Prairie Village, and a niece and two nephews.
