SUSANNA "SUSIE" REGIER

Susie (nee Pauls) Regier died Feb. 11. She was born Feb . 17, 1910 in Reinfeld, Russia . Her family immigrated to Canada in 1923, settling on a farm in Herbert, Sask . Her mem- ories of life in Russia played a large part in the Regier- Pauls family history. She married John Regier in Nov. 1930, sharing a double wedding w ith her sister Agnes. The couple farmed until their retirement in 1972. Susie was a member of the Herbert MB Church and served in the ladies aid group. Her faith in God was an integral part of her life and never wavered. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a great cook and gracious hostess . She loved to gar- den, crochet, quilt, and travel, and was able to visit her homeland, Russia, twice. Susie was a gentle, loving, hard-working woman who was proud of her family and a friend to many. Predeceased by John in 1979; 1 daughter; 6 siblings; she is mourned by sons John (Tiena), Abe (Elaine), Ron (Wendy); daughter Gwen Oohn) Martens; 15 grand- children; 21 great-grandchildren. The funer- al was Feb. 16 at Herbert MB Church.
