Goshen, Ind. — A heart attack suffered Aug. 30 while driving a tractor on a country road claimed the life of Harold d. Myers, 60, of Route 1, New Paris, pastor and bishop of the Salem Mennonite Church.
Rev. Myers had stopped to help a neighbor round up some cattle and had proceeded down the road when stricken. The tractor left the road and struck a utility pole. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Goshen hospital.
Survivors include his widow and five sons, three of whom are missionaries — Paul E. in Switzerland, Lamar in Paris, France, and Dallas in Niger. Jan and Dan, twins, reside at home.
