HENRY G. NEUFELD

ied Nov. 22 . He was born in Zentral, Ukraine May 24, 1917 to Ger- hard G. and Margaretha Neufeld. The family emi- grated to Canada in 1926, settling in the Boissevain, Man. area . At 19, he was baptized upon confession of his faith into the Whitewater Mennonite Church . He enjoyed singing in choirs. He married Maria Dyck Oct. 23, 1942. They farmed with his par- ents and then took over the farm until retiring in 1976. They lived in Brandon for several years and then moved to Winnipeg, where they joined Portage Ave . MB Church . He was interested in and spoke of family members with pride , though not in front of that person . "1 love you" came easier in the last few years . He enjoyed reading, visiting and playing pool with friends. Predeceased by 5 brothers, 1 sister, an infant daughter and a granddaughter, he is mourned by Maria, daughters Agatha Warkentin and Mar- ianne Boulet; sons George, David, John; foster daughter Lucille Cassels; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters . The service was Nov. 27 at Schoenfelder Mennonite Church, St. Francois Xavier, Manitoba, with Robert Warkentin and Claude Pratt ministering.
