Justina Nikkel died Aug. 20. She was born in Fuerstenwerder, Russia Jan. 4, 1913 to Henry and Maria Goerzen. The family came to Canada in 1926, settling in Coaldale in 1928. She committed her life to Christ at 19, was baptized and joined Coaldale (Alta.) MB Church. She married John P. Nikkel in 1934. They farmed near Coaldale. She was a strong support to her husband's activities in church and worked out her faith in practical ways. John died in 1993. She moved to Sunny South Lodge. Her concern was the spiritual welfare of her family. Predeceased by John, she is mourned by son John; daughters Anne Rempel, Betty Baerg, Helen Harms; 1 sister. The funeral was Aug. 24 in Coaldale MB Church.
