ABRAM WARKENTIN

bram Warkentin died Feb. 2. He was born Sept. 11, 1923 in Memrick, Russia, to Heinrich and Mar- garete Warkentin. In 1929 the family fled to Germany. His fa- ther died and his mother with her chil- dren immigrated to Brazil. When he was 20 he committed his life to Jesus on the basis of Phil. 2:9-11 and was baptized. He married Aganetha Federau Oct. 24, 1949. They immigrated to Canada in 1961, living first in Win- nipeg, then in Kelowna, B.C. and finally in Abbotsford . He farmed until his retire- ment. They joined King Rd. MB Church, Abbotsford. He sang in the German choir for many years. He enjoyed visiting his children and grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister, he is mourned by Aganetha; sons Walter and John; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter. The funeral was Feb.6 in King Road MB Church.
