KATHARINE LOEWEN

Katheri ne Loewen died July 18. She was born Sept . 23, 1920 to Ja- cob and Anna Loewen in Gnadenthal Baratov, south Russia . The fami- - ...Mdoerksen (talk)1 Iy immigrated to Cana- da in 1925, settling in Killarney, Man . She accepted Christ Dec. 31, 1931, was bap- tized and joined Holmfield (Man.) MB Church. She attended Winkler Bible School. The family moved to Elm Creek, Man. in 1943. She participated in choir and young people's activities. When arthritis set in in 1947 she had to curtail her activities. She moved to Winnipeg in 1964. She sewed for others, including camps and people in need. She moved to Donwood South with her mother in 1982. Her mother passed away in 1991. She moved to Donwood Personal Care Home in 2001 . She was able to encourage others with a cheery word or prayer. She was a charter member of Mcivor Avenue MB Church, Winnipeg . She is mourned by sis - ters Susie and Anne; brothers Jake, Peter, John and Abe. The funeral was July 22 in Mcivor Avenue MB Church.
