JOHN DERKSEN

John Derksen died June 11 . He was born June 14, 1907 in Orenburg, Russia to Johann and __ft~.. Helena Derksen. After his father's death he lived with an uncle un- til his mother re-mar- ried. They immigrated to Saskatchewan in 1925. He married Aganeta Wiebe on Oct. 27, 1929. They lived in Cactus Lake, Bournemouth, then Rabbit Lake, Sask. He rededicated his life to the Lord. They moved to Sumas Prairie, B.C in 1945, joining the Arnold MB Church. He retired from farming in 1964. He volunteered, trav- elled, fished . They moved to Clearbrook in 1966. Aganeta died in 1983. He married He- len Wiens in 1984. She died 1996. He faith- fu ll y nursed each of his wives. His favou rite Scripture was Psalm 103. Predece ased by Agane t a, Helen, infant daughter Wi l ma, so n 28 Septembe, 12, 2003 MENNON ITE BR ETH REN HERAL D John, he leaves daughters Betty Raymond, Freda Reimer, Agnes Fast, Lena Thielmann, Linda Penner; son Peter; 20 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grand- children; 1 brother. The service was June 16 in Clearbrook MB Church.
