JOHANN WIENS

Johann Wiens died July 18. He was born June 29, 1914 to Franz and Anna Wiens, in Sagrad- owka, Ukraine. They moved to the Amur River region in 1927. They escaped Russia over the river into Chi- na with the entire vil- lage in December 1930. They immigrated to Paraguay. He ac- cepted Jesus as Saviour and was baptized in 1934. He married Lena Klippenstein Aug. 28, 1937. In 1976 they moved to Canada, living in Clearbrook, B.C and St. Catha rines, Ont. Predeceased by Lena, 6 siblings, 1 grandson, he leaves sons Franz, Heinrich, John; daugh- ter Erika Schroeder; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister; 2 stepbrothers. The service was in Scott St. MB Church, St. Catharines.
