JACOB T. (JIM) SCHROEDER

Jacob T. Schroeder died May 27. He was born to john and Su- sanna Schroeder Sept. 3, 1915 near Plum Coulee. His siblings named him Jimmy. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed geography, history, politics and re- ligion. Jim accepted Christ at 18; he was baptized and joined Grossweide (Man.) MB Church. He was Sun- day school teacher, choir member, church treasurer, usher and food committee mem- ber. He was trustee and secretary-treasurer of the Grossweide School District. He took over the family farm. jim married Annie Harder Mar. 26, 1944. Son Vernon passed away at birth. In the mid-70s jim began insurance sales with Red River Valley Insurance Compa- ny. In 1975 they sold the farm, moved to Winkler, Man. and joined Winkler MB Church. In 1988 he retired. In September 2002 he moved to Salem Home, Winkler. He is mourned by Annie; sons john and Ken ; daughter Verna; grandchildren. The funeral was May 31 in Winkler MB Church with Arnie Neufeld ministering.
