SARA SUDERMAN

Sara Sud erman pa ssed away Dec. 4. Sh e wa s born to Abram and Mar ga reth a Klass en Aug . 22, 1902 in Ukraine. Th e family se ttled in Gu zsarovka, wher e her father opened a general stor e. Sh e married Pe- ter Suderman June 8, 1924. They arrived in Canada in June 1926. After a year each in rural Manitoba and Sas katch ewan, they moved to Regina, where they lived 36 years. Sar a was industrious and resourceful and fed and clothed t he family in spite of t he depression. She taught t he chil- dren to make a personal choice for God and how to live a godly life. She was hospitable, hosting many overnight guests. After Peter retired in his early 50s, he and Sara made themselves available to help people and made hospital visits. In 1964 they moved to Clearbrook, B.C. They mov ed to Menno Home in 1997. Predeceased by daughter Marguerite Fletcher and 2 grandchildren, she is mourned by sons Peter, Jake and Hen- ry; daughter Mitzi Peters; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren . The funeral was Dec. 16 in Clearbrook MB Church with Walter Wiens, and Heinz Ratzlaff ministering.
