HEIDI BERGMANN

eidi Bergmann passed away Dec. 5. She was born Feb. 26, 1923 in Kuban, Russia. The family immigrated to Canada when she was 2. Her mother died when she was 12. Later the family moved to B.C.'s Fraser Valley. She marri ed Abram Bergmann in April 1942. She is remembered for her ability to create a nurturing environment of order, comfort and acceptance; wonderful cooking; quiet, seren e faith in God; sense of play balanced with conscientiousness and honesty; bal - anced life of hard work, good food, yearly vacations and Sab bath observance; love and 18 Febru ilry 7, 20 0 3 MEN NONITE BRET HRE N HER ALD care for her family; and abil ity to live p eace, facing death and suffering without com- plaint. Pr edeceas ed by Abram, 1 grand- daughter, 1 sister and 5 brothers, she is mourned by children Lu ella Wiebe, Sophie Klass en, Wilma Derksen, Wes, and Patricia Arndt; 12 grandchildren; 1 gr ea t-grand- daught er; 1 brother and 3 sisters. Th e memorial service was in M enno Hom e chapel, Abbotsford, B.C., with David Dick ministering.
