DONETTA [sic DONNETTA] LOUISE PLETT

Donnetta Louise (Voth) Plett was born at Dodge City, Kan. on May 26, 1935 to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Voth. She departed this life on Dec. 28, 1969, as the result of an automobile accident on Dec. 26, having reached the age of 34 years, seven months and two days.

Her childhood years were spent at her paternal home in Montezuma, Kan. where she received her elementary and high school education.

Donnetta made a decision for Christ at the age of 21 and was baptized into the church together with her family on Jan. 1, 1966.

She met her husband, Vernon Dale Plett, while attending Bethel College in North Newton, Kan. They were married on June 3, 1956 in Liberal, Kan. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. Their life together was spent in Newton, Kan. except for a period of about one year when they lived on a farm near Turpin, Okla.

Their marriage was marked with deep love and joy throughout their 13 years together. She was a devoted wife. Housekeeping was a pleasure and delight for her. The children were a great joy and she counted it a privilege to take care of them.

Donnetta was active in her church and Sunday school class. She was ever striving to keep the Sunday school class interested in God’s Word. She taught the class for a number of years. Her membership was in the Faith Mennonite Church, Newton.

She leaves to mourn her passing her bereaved husband, Vernon; three sons, Timmy Von, Tommy Joe, Tony Benet [sic Bennett], and one daughter, Tammy Renee; her parents and one brother, Albert Jr.; her grandmother, and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ferris Galen.
