PETER N. PAULS


Peter N. Pauls of Saska- toon passed away June 18. He was born July 13, 1922 to Nickolai and Sara Pauls in Ufa, Russia . In 1925 the family immigrated to Canada, settling in Waldheim, Sask. In 1927 they began farm- ing in Glenbush, Sask. He accepted Christ and was baptized. He took grade 12 at Rosthern (Sask .) Junior College and attended Winkler (Man .) Bible School and MB Bible College in Winnipeg. He was much involved in music. He married Martha Schoenke Oct. 16, 1955. They farmed at Glen- bush, retiring to Saskatoon in 1990. In Glen- bush, he taught Sunday school for many years, led the choir, worked with music and sang so- los. In Saskatoon, he was involved in church and community choirs, sang in nursing homes and helped as "grandpa" for the 4 and 5-year- olds in the MOMs program. Predeceased by 1 sister and 2 brothers, he is mourned by Martha; sons Walter of Steinbach, Man., Lawrence of Winnipeg, Herbert ofToronto and Gordon of Edmonton; daughters Marjorie Klassen of Glenbush, Violet Kennedy of Saska- toon and Carol Rempel of Winnipeg; 5 sisters and 3 brothers. The funeral was June 21 in For- est Grove Community Church, Saskatoon, with Abe Klassen ministering.
