Death Speaks Verdict Before Court Can Act

Death has again claimed its prerogative, and for the second time a leading participant in the Kennedy assassination tragedy has been taken from this life before his case could be adjudicated in a court of justice.

Jack Ruby, killer of President John F. Kennedy's accused assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, died in a Dallas hospital from cancer.

Only the immediate family was present at the Jewish burial ceremony in a Northwest side cemetery in Chicago. Newsmen were invited to view the casket to forestall any future speculation that the body was not Ruby's, a family spokesman said.
