ALFRED HARVEY DIRKS

Alfred Dirks of Saskatoon passed away on August 25. He was born near Waldheim, Sask., on August 24, 1924. At the age of 15, during the 1937 revival begun by Rev. Henry Epp, he received Christ a.s his pe:s?nal Saviour. He was later baptIzed and Jomed the Dalmeny (Sask.) EMB Church. In 1971 at Sutera Twins meetings he rededicated his life to God's service. He married Meta Sommer feld of Waseca, Sask. on October 15, 1948. They bought a farm near Lashburn, Sask. and farmed it for 21 years, until 1971, when they moved to Saskatoon and he both farmed and worked in the city. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Meta; children Rodney, Brenda and Karen; mother (Mrs.) Emma Dirks of Waldheim; brothers Eldon and wife Olive of Sas katoon and Irvin and wife Neoma of Waldheim; sisters Ruby and husband Melvin Epp of Main Centre, Sask. and Ann Dirks of Saskatoon; and many other friends and relatives. The funeral was held August 29 in the Central MB Church in Saskatoon, with pastor Waldo Pauls and Otto Derksen in charge.
