SELMA SCHULZ

Selma Schulz of Lethbridge, Alta. passed away Apr. 17. She was born June 26, 1918 to John and Elizabeth Dick in Lichtfelde , Russia. The family immigrated to Canada in 1924, settling on a farm in Herbert, Sask. In 1927 they moved to Coaldale, Alta. She accepted Christ in her youth and was baptized in Coaldale MB Church. She married John Schulz of Lethbridge in 1942. They served as deacons in Coaldale MB Church and then in Lakeview MB Church in Lethbridge. She is remembered for her gift of hospitality, her gentle spirit and strong faith in the midst of trials, and her appreciation of the little things in life. She served the Lord faithfully and made many quilts for MCC. Her love and prayers will be missed by family and friends. She was a member of Lakeview MB Church. Predeceased by her father, son Henry and 1 grandchild, she is mourned by her mother; husband; children Elfrieda Neumann of Abbotsford, B.C., Dave of Chilliwack, B.C. and Martha Pauls of Kamloops, B.C.; 11 grandchildren; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. The funeral was Apr. 20 in the Evangelical Free Church, Lethbridge, with George Braun ministering.
