In May, 1925 the Martens emigrated to Canada, settling at McMahon, Saskatchewan, where they reared their family. To this marriage were born 10 children, four of whom predeceased Mr. Martens. In 1952 they moved to a farm at Swift Current, where he resided until his passing. Throughout his life he enjoyed good health, with the exception of three major accidents. He leaves to mourn six children, two sons, Pete and Calvin; and four daughters, Helen, Daisy, Erna and Nora; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many friends.
