text of obituary:

MRS. MARIA PAULS

Russia on February 28 , 1895. She went to be with the Lord as she slept, in her home, on August 3. She accepted the Lord as her Saviour at the age of 12 years and was baptized a few years later into the Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1918 she and Aron Pauls were married . After moving to Canada in 1926 the Pauls made their home first in Manitoba, then in 1937 on a farm near Port Rowan, Ontario. Their marriage lasted for 54 happy years before her husband was taken; they were blessed with three sons and seven daughters . Mrs. Pauls loved the Lord very deeply; she spent much time reading his Word and was 6- real prayer warrior. When praying, she named each child, grandchild and greatgrandchild, as well as many other people serving in the church worldwide. All of nature - every bird and flower in the garden that was a source of joy throughout her life-reminded her of God's love. She leaves to mourn seven daughters: Katie (Mrs. Howard) Shuh, Lydia (Mrs. Jake) Reimer, Mary, Annie (Mrs. Henry) Teigrob, Alice (Mrs . Peter) Krahn , Margaret (Mrs. Jim) Newton, Sue (Mrs. Art) Friesen: one son, Henry and his wife Louella: two daughters·in-law, Anne (Mrs. Dave) Redekop and (Mrs.) Una Pauls; 36 grandchildren: 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters: and many relatives and friends .
