Mrs. Johanna Epp, 80, widow of the late Rev. J. B. Epp and mother of Rev. Theodore H. Epp, well-known as founder and director of the Back to the Bible Broadcast, died Jan. 5 at Salem Hospital in Hillsboro. She had been residing at Parkside Homes there. A former resident of Newton, she was a member of the First Mennonite Church here. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at the Emmaus Mennonite Church near Whitewater with the pastor, Rev. L. R. Amstutz, and Rev. Ord L. Morrow officiating. Surviving in addition to the son of Lincoln, Neb. are three daughters, two sisters, one brother, 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
