SAMUEL SCHROCK

Samuel Schrock, 77, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1962, at the Brokaw Nursing home in Normal, Ill., where he had been a patient for two months, following a long illness. The funeral was held Friday, Dec. 28, at the Meadows Mennonite Church with Rev. L. E. Troyer officiating. Burial was made at Chenoa Cemetery.

He was born June 18, 1885, in Stuttgart, Ark., a son of Peter and Katherine Roszhart Schrock. He was married to Amelia Lehman Roszhart on Feb. 27, 1923 in Meadows, Ill. He was a carpenter in the Gridley and Meadows, Ill. area for 35 years.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Alice, Mrs. Vernon Miller of Lexington, Ill., and Martha, Mrs. Don Smith of Chenoa, Ill.; a step-son, Rev. Herbert R. Roszhart of Aurora, Nebr.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Jerold Rocke of Flanagan, Ill.; two brothers, Joseph C. Schrock of Ontario, Calif. and Daniel Schrock of Kalona, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Guengerich of South Gate, Calif., Mrs. Mary Ann Hochstetler of Wellman, Iowa, and Miss Katherine G. Schrock of Iowa City, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Two brothers preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Meadows Mennonite Church.
