LONG TIME GOSHEN RESIDENT DIES

Goshen, Ind. — Rudy Senger, 87, a native of Orrville, Ohio and a resident of Goshen since 1904, died at a nursing home here Dec. 29. He was employed at a local furniture manufacturing company for a number of years.

Mr. Senger was a long-time member of the Eighth Street Mennonite church. A memorial service was conducted at a local funeral home by Rev. Robert Hartzler, pastor of the church, followed by final services and burial at the Pleasant View Mennonite church, North Lawrence, O., Rev. Lester Hostetler of Sugarcreek, O. officiating.

RUDY SENGER

Rudy Senger was born Feb. 6, 1872 near Orrville, Ohio, the son of Martin and Elizabeth Brenneman Senger.

He spent his youth in Ohio and in 1904 came to Goshen, Ind. to attend Goshen college. He remained in Goshen, working in wood and the last number of years at a local kitchen cabinet factory, retiring in 1954.

Surviving is a brother Henry of Buffalo, New York, and also a few nieces and nephews in Ohio.

Funeral services were held in Goshen on Dec. 31, 1959 by Rev. Robert Hartzler of the 8th Street Mennonite Church, of which Mr. Senger was a member.

Further services were held in his home church, the Pleasant View Mennonite church of North Lawrence, Ohio on Jan. 1, 1960 by Rev. Lester Hostetler of Sugar Creek, Ohio.
