David Brain Wiebe was born on December 3,1953, to Peter and Anne Wiebe in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He was raised in a Christian home and spent all of his life in the Virgil-St. Davids area. He attended Eden Christian College for three years, and one year at Niagara District Secondary School.

David had a very loving, cheerful, sunny nature which gave him many friends and brought much joy to his family. He attended the Virgil Mennonite Brethren Sunday school and church. He committed his life to the Lord at the Leighton Ford Crusade in St. Catharines and then later rededicated his life at Eden Christian College. He had many temptations and struggles in his short life time.

During this past summer he helped his parents on the farm at St. Davids. On October 13, as a result of a car accident, he came to his early and sudden death. He leaves to mourn his parents, Peter and Anne Wiebe; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Fast of Winnipeg, Kathy at home; two brothers, Edward and Ron of Niagara-on-the-Lake; one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, eight nieces and nephews, and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held October 15 at the Virgil Mennonite Brethren Church. Officiating were Rev. J. G. Baerg of Virgil and Rev. Henry Wiebe of the St. Ann's Community Church.
