JOHN P. WALL

John Peter Wall was born on January 2 1901 to Peter and Katharina (Hooge) Wall Kaltan, Neu Samara, Russia. In 1924 he married Lena Dirksen. Two years later they moved to Mexico, and from 1927 to 1931 they lived in Saskatchewan. The Lord then led them to California.

In 1930 he realized his lost condition spiritually and received Jesus Christ into his life. Together with his brother George he was baptized and received into the church.

They were blessed with eight children. In 1961 a daughter Susie died; in 1969 his wife passed away. His trust in Jesus Christ never faltered.

He spent many years in fruit harvesting and as a carpenter, and he was held in high esteem by the people who knew him. In October, 1973 he was married to Mrs. Lena Reimer of Yarrow, B.C. After less than a year together the Lord saw fit to call him home on September 25.

Surviving him are his second wife Lena, seven children and their families; 26 grand-children and 14 great-grandchildren; a sister in Russia; and seven children and their spouses and 18 grandchildren from his wife's side.
