A. R. Regier

Abraham R. Regier, son of Jacob and Katharina (Regier) Regier, was born March 14,1873, in Sough Russia. At the age of approximately two years he came to central Kansas, U. S. A., with his parents who settled in Harvey County, and here he grew to manhood on his parents' farm. He attended the preparatory school which was located about one mile east of Buhler. He also had the privilege of attending Wichita Business College for a short time.

With his parents he attended the Hebron Mennonite Church from childhood on, and here he learned to know Christ, whom he accepted as his Saviour and Lord. He was baptized on May 20, 1890, upon his personal confession by Elder Bernhard Buhler and became a member of the Hebron Mennonite Church where he remained a faithful member until his departure from this life. Father was very much interested in church and Sunday school and took an active part, serving in various offices, especially as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Whenever problems arose in church or in the home he always sought for a peaceful solution.
